My inspiration for The Erosion Series is based on how time and the elements change all life. All things are eroding, changing, evolving, dissolving, contorting, adapting, and transforming. In this ongoing series of studies of biomorphic forms and atmospheres I wanted to convey that change is inevitable, constant, fluid, beautiful, silent, and monumental. Time and the elements modify all life. The desert in which I live is constant inspiration for all the forms I’ve created in each piece. All shapes and forms are created organically and with no pre-conceived notions. Matter and life slowly take on a new form as time slowly chisels away its own creations without discretion. I want the viewer to see what they want to see and feel what they want to feel with each piece.
